What we built

A tradie's website has two jobs: be found for the work the business wants, and turn that visit into a call or a quote request. Every page on this site was designed and coded for ELT, in their words, with their REC number and ABN where a customer looks for them.

• A page for each service: residential electrical, builders and renovations, rental compliance, HVAC electrical support, CCTV and alarm systems, and general electrical work
• A quote form that asks for the job, the suburb, who the customer is, the service needed, an optional photo and how they would like to be contacted
• About, careers, contractors and contact pages, plus privacy and terms
• Click-to-call and request-a-quote buttons in reach on every page, on a phone first

Built to be found

Search engines rank pages, not businesses. Each service has its own page with its own title and description written the way people search for it, so rental compliance, residential electrical, and builders and renovations can each be found on their own. A sitemap and robots file tell search engines what to read, the home page carries share-ready Open Graph tags, and the REC number and ABN are the trust signals a customer and a search engine both look for.

How we built it

Hand-coded HTML, CSS and JavaScript, one page per service, on Australian web hosting, with no page builder or theme underneath. With nothing between the browser and the page there is less to load on a phone and less to change. The site is published under ELT's own name and domain, with a Powered by AENETWORKS credit in the footer.

AENETWORKS also builds ELT's quoting and bookkeeping software, ELT Books: quotes, invoices, job documents and the books in one Windows app.
