Questions and answers
What business owners ask before they hire us.
Straight answers about how we work, what you own, and what to expect. If your question is not here, ask it directly and a person will reply.
Working with us
- I am not technical. Is that a problem?
- No. Most of our clients are not. You describe what you want in your own words, and we handle the technical side and explain any decision you need to make in plain English.
- Do you work with businesses anywhere in Australia?
- Yes. We are based in Queensland and work with businesses across the country. Everything happens by email, phone and a private preview link, so distance does not change anything.
- What happens after I send the contact form?
- You get a reply from a person, not an automated sequence. We will ask a few questions about your business and what you need, and then put a short plan in front of you: what we would build, what it would cost and what we need from you.
- What should I have ready before we talk?
- Nothing formal. It helps to know roughly what you want the website or tool to do for the business, and to have any existing logo, photos or text handy, but we can start from a conversation.
The build
- How does a project run?
- Plan, build, launch. We agree on the approach, cost and timeline first. During the build you get a private preview link so you can see real screens and ask for changes early. At launch we check everything, put it live and hand it all over.
- Can I see the work while it is in progress?
- Yes, from the first week. The private preview link shows the real site with your real content as it comes together, so nothing is a surprise at the end.
- Do you use templates or page builders?
- No. Every site is designed and coded from scratch for the business, which is why it loads fast, looks like nobody else's and carries nothing it does not need.
- Can you fix or improve my existing website?
- Often. If it is on a platform we can work with, we can repair, speed up or redesign parts of it. If a rebuild would serve you better, we will say so before any work starts.
Ownership and costs
- Who owns the website and the code?
- You do. The code, the domain, the hosting and every account are set up in your name from the start, with written instructions, and you can take them anywhere.
- Are there ongoing costs?
- A website needs a domain name and hosting, and some features use services with their own subscriptions, for example an email platform. We set those up in your name so you can see exactly what you pay for, and we choose the simplest option that fits.
- Am I locked into a contract?
- No. Ongoing support is month to month or one-off, and you can stop at any time.
- How is a project priced?
- Each project is quoted on what it involves, after we understand what you need. The contact form has optional budget ranges so we can tailor the first conversation, and you will always have a written cost before we start.
Beyond the website
- Can you build software, not just websites?
- Yes. Quoting tools, admin panels, online ordering and booking systems, and automation that connects the tools you already use. If you can describe the job, we can usually build it.
- Do you set up customer emails and Klaviyo?
- Yes. We write the emails, design them to read well on a phone, and build the automation: welcome series, abandoned cart reminders, follow-ups and campaigns. Usually in Klaviyo, or in the platform you already use.
- Will my website show up on Google?
- We build every site so search engines can read it properly: clear titles and descriptions, fast loading, phone-friendly pages, a sitemap and structured data. Ranking well for competitive searches also takes time and good content, and we will be honest with you about that rather than promise a position.
