Ongoing support
Someone who knows your site, when you need a change.
A website is never really finished. Prices change, a new service comes along, a form stops working after an update. Ongoing support means you have someone who already knows your site and can make the change quickly, without a briefing from scratch each time.
What support covers
Support is whatever keeps your site working for the business, from the small edits to the next big idea.
- Text, image, product and price updates
- New pages, features and connections as the business grows
- Keeping the software behind the site up to date and secure
- Fixing anything that breaks, and telling you what happened in plain English
- Advice when you are weighing up a change, before you spend on it
Month to month, or one-off
Some clients like a regular arrangement so changes are simply handled. Others prefer to call when something comes up. Both work. There is no lock-in contract either way, and we would rather you stay because the work is good than because a contract says so.
Sites we did not build
We can often support a site built by someone else, provided it is on a platform we can work with. We will look at it first and tell you honestly whether it is worth maintaining or whether a rebuild would serve you better.
Common questions
- How do I request a change?
- Email us in your own words. Small changes are usually turned around quickly; larger ones get a short plan and a cost before we start, so there are no surprises.
- Can you take over a site built by another developer?
- Usually, yes. We will review it first and be honest about its condition. If it is sound, we can maintain it; if it is holding you back, we will say so and explain the options.
- Am I locked in?
- No. Ongoing support runs month to month and you can stop at any time. Your code and accounts are always in your name.
