About AENETWORKS
An independent web and software studio in Queensland.
AENETWORKS designs and codes websites, business software and customer email flows for Australian businesses, and makes and sells its own app for tradies, SmokoBooks. We are based in Queensland and work with businesses anywhere in Australia.

Who we build for
Owner-run businesses that would rather talk to the person doing the work than to an account manager. So far that has meant a Queensland chilli farm selling wholesale, an electrical contractor who needed a quoting and bookkeeping app, and an online jewellery business that wanted an automated welcome series for new subscribers.
The chilli farm's website is the client project we show publicly: read how it was built. Other projects are walked through personally, on request.

We make our own software too
SmokoBooks grew out of a quoting and bookkeeping app we built for an electrical contractor. It is now our own product: a Windows app for quotes, invoices, job documents and bookkeeping, made for Australian trade businesses and designed, coded, sold and supported by AENETWORKS at smokobooks.com.au (opens in a new tab).
Selling and supporting our own product keeps us honest about the things clients care about: plain-English wording, a setup that does not need a manual, backups that happen without anyone remembering, and fixing problems quickly. How we built SmokoBooks.
How we work
- Built from scratch, not from a template
- Nothing here starts as a theme with your logo dropped in. Your site is coded for your business, which is why it loads fast and looks like nobody else's.
- Everything in plain English
- You will never need to learn a technical word to work with us. If something needs a decision from you, we explain it the way we would to a mate.
- You own all of it
- The code, the domain, the accounts, the email list. All in your name, handed over with written instructions. Leave whenever you like.
- No lock-in contract
- Ongoing help is month to month or one-off. We would rather you stay because the work is good.
- Watch it come together
- From the first week you get a private preview link. You see real screens with your real content and ask for changes while they are cheap.
